Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a telegram expressing deep condolences to President of Russia Vladimir Putin in connection with the terrorist attacks in Derbent and Makhachkala.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev strongly condemned the terrorist acts in Dagestan, which resulted in numerous casualties among law enforcement officers and civilians.
The President of Uzbekistan expressed his readiness to enhance cooperation between relevant agencies in combating the terrorist threat.
On Sunday evening, a group of armed criminals opened fire on a synagogue and a church in Derbent, causing fires in the buildings.
Almost simultaneously, information was received about an attack on a traffic police post in Makhachkala. Additionally, there was an attack in the village of Sergokala, where the perpetrators shot at a police car, injuring one officer.
Several people, including police officers, were killed as a result of these terrorist attacks.
