Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to the head of India, Draupadi Murmu, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the tragedy in Uttar Pradesh, where numerous people have died or been injured.

The head of the Uzbek state conveyed deep condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased, and expressed hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The incident occurred during a mass event in the village of Ratibhanpur, where local residents gathered in the square for a sermon by Bhola Babu.

According to the state government, more than 120 people died, including 108 women and seven children, with another 28 people injured.
