Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during a visit to Ferghana region on 27 July, dismissed a number of officials of the region.

In particular, the head of state dismissed the first deputy khokim of Ferghana region Avaz Urinboev, the head of the tax department of the region Adkhamjon Tillavoldiev, the khokim of Rishtan district Sufkhonjon Soliev, the khokim of Margilan Adkham Ziyavitdinov and the head of the tax department T. Khusanov.

The President issued reprimands to the deputy khokim of the region for construction Khojiukuzijon Isakov and the deputy khokim for investments Ikboljon Ergashev, khokims of Baghdad, Kuva and Buvaida districts.

Khokim and heads of Ferghana sectors (the head of the Department of Internal Affairs, the tax service and the prosecutor) were demoted to acting duties with a probationary period of three months.

The head of the department of internal affairs of Ferghana region, Mukhiddin Juraev, was also relieved of his post. Shortcomings in his work were named as the reason for Juraev’s dismissal.

Major General Azizbek Isroilovich Ikramov has been appointed head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ferghana region.

Prior to this appointment, Ikramov worked as Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Head of the Department of Spiritual and Educational Work and Personnel Support.
