Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 March, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated Vladimir Putin on his convincing victory in the presidential elections of Russia, expressing warm wishes for his further success.
The head of the Uzbek state especially emphasized that the high voter turnout and voting results once again confirmed the enormous trust of Russians in the current President of the country, as well as their broad support for the political course and ongoing socio-economic reforms.
Mirziyoyev also noted the high level of Uzbek-Russian relations, which are characterized by comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. He noted that the volume of mutual trade turnover is growing at a steady pace, investment projects are being implemented in various sectors of the economy, cooperation ties between enterprises and regions are being strengthened, and cultural and humanitarian exchange is actively developing.
Upcoming high-level events were also discussed, including the next International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM, which will be held in April in Tashkent and will become an effective platform for promoting new forms and promising projects of cooperation between the two countries.
