Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a phone conversation with Alexander Lukashenko, congratulating him on his victory in the Belarusian presidential elections.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev highlighted the high voter turnout and the election results as a confirmation of the Belarusian people’s trust and support for the policies being implemented.
The two leaders discussed the further development of Uzbek-Belarusian partnership, building on the agreements reached during Lukashenko’s visit to Uzbekistan in February 2024.
The growth of trade turnover, which exceeded 700 million dollars in 2024, was noted.
The importance of accelerating industrial cooperation projects and strengthening business and interregional ties was emphasized.
The leaders agreed to intensify cooperation in this area and discussed the schedule for upcoming meetings and events.
