Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Uzbekistan is holding elections for the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and local councils of deputies.

According to the Central Election Commission, the unified electronic voter list includes 19,944,859 citizens, with 506,800 young voters participating for the first time.

Polling stations will remain open until 8:00 PM.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his family cast their votes at the 57th polling station in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.

Leaders of Uzbekistan's five political parties also participated in the voting.
