Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, has arrived on an official visit to Budapest.

Upon arrival, the Uzbek leader was greeted at the airplane’s steps by Hungary’s Minister of Economic Development, Márton Nagy, and other representatives of official authorities.

At Ferenc Liszt International Airport, in honor of the distinguished guest, the state flags of both countries were raised and a ceremonial guard of honor was formed. According to the visit program, Uzbek-Hungarian high-level talks are scheduled for May 20.

Additionally, the head of state will hold several meetings with official representatives as well as with leaders of leading Hungarian companies. On May 21, the President of Uzbekistan will participate in an informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States, which will take place in Hungary’s capital.
