President of Uzbekistan and his spouse participated in informal events of the SCO summit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 31 August, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his wife, took part in informal activities of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, held at the Meijiang Convention Center in Tianjin, China.
The meeting brought together a number of world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedow, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, as well as the heads of government of Egypt, Cambodia, Nepal, and Armenia. United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres also attended the event.
Upon arrival at the convention center, President Mirziyoyev and his wife were greeted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his spouse. A concert program dedicated to the SCO summit in Tianjin was prepared for the visiting leaders.
