Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 January, as part of the business program during his visit to Abu Dhabi, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Minister of Artificial Intelligence of the UAE, Omar bin Sultan Al-Olama.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of companies Presight, AIQ, and Khazna — Thomas Pramotedam, Magzan Kenesbay, and Hassan Al-Nakbi, respectively, as well as the President of the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Eric Singh.
Presight, AIQ, and Khazna are recognized as global leaders in the fields of big data and artificial intelligence. Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence is the world’s first higher educational institution dedicated solely to research in AI.
The parties discussed the prospects for deepening strategic partnership aimed at advancing cutting-edge technologies and their integration into key sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.
Agreements were reached on joint work in the field of generative artificial intelligence, including the use of "large language models" to optimize processes in energy, as well as the creation of a major data processing center in Tashkent.
Special attention was given to expanding cooperation with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev proposed initiating a program to train Uzbek students at this university and preparing a "roadmap" for the development of highly qualified specialists in the field of artificial intelligence.
The parties also discussed plans to establish research laboratories, technology clusters, and implement innovative solutions in the area of contactless payments.
