Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov thanked President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the donated combat helicopter.

In accordance with the agreement reached by the presidents of the two countries, in 2021 the brotherly Republic of Uzbekistan provided the Kyrgyz Republic with a military helicopter MI-8MTV as free humanitarian aid, which was accepted by our air force specialists, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov wrote on his Facebook page.

After this, one of the same helicopters in the military aircraft fleet of Kyrgyzstan was transferred to the state-owned Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant of Uzbekistan for major repairs.

The Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan has taken full responsibility for carrying out repair work, he noted.

“And recently, the relevant structures of Uzbekistan reported that our helicopter has been fully repaired and equipped,” said President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

“Specialists from our Ministry of Defense accepted the helicopter and delivered it along the Chirchik-Osh, Osh-Bishkek route, reporting that the aircraft was fully ready to carry out its work,” Japarov added.

The President of Kyrgyzstan on his Facebook page thanked his Uzbek colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his support in repairing a military helicopter.

“All this, of course, became possible with the support and control of the President of Uzbekistan, respected Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In this regard, I express my deep gratitude to Shavkat Miromonovich,” the message says.
