Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirzayev noted the problem of lack of financial resources for builders, which leads to the involvement of the population as shareholders at the stage of laying the foundation.

It has been noted that some dishonest developers leave people in a vulnerable position.

To resolve this issue, the president instructed officials to create a Mortgage Support Fund, having studied best foreign practices.

He also set the task of legal regulation of public participation in housing construction and increasing the working capital of construction enterprises.

In order to develop housing construction, the task was set for 2024 to build 1,800 residential buildings with 80 thousand apartments and increase the number of New Uzbekistan communities from 38 to 45.
