The Kazakh leader warmly congratulated Islam Karimov on his convincing landslide in the presidential elections last Sunday and wished further success to the head of Uzbekistan.

Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed confidence that traditionally friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan would continue to develop dynamically for the welfare of the sister nations.

During the conversation the sides also touched upon some issues of bilateral cooperation, Kazinform reported.
