President: “I consider hardworking and selfless fellow citizens as my closest people, devoted allies”

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In accordance with the decrees of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the occasion of the thirty-third anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives from various fields were awarded honorary titles, orders, and medals. The award ceremony took place on 30 August at the Kuksaroy residence.

President Mirziyoyev congratulated everyone on Independence Day and those gathered on receiving high state awards. He emphasized the significance of the achievements in the country and the importance of the efforts that led to these successes.

— For what do we work? Primarily, for the happiness of our children, so that our people live in peace, freedom, and prosperity. We started a movement in the name of human honor and dignity. Who on the ground implements these initiatives and ambitious goals? People like you — selfless, patriotic, strong individuals! You are heroes, examples for our youth. I am proud of you and thank you on behalf of our people, — said the President.

These efforts are bearing fruit: the appearance of cities and villages, all spheres and industries are undergoing radical changes. There is extensive work being done in the economy, construction, education, healthcare, and social protection. People see the results of these transformations in their daily lives.

The world recognizes that our country is on the path of progress. Several United Nations resolutions were adopted on the initiative of Uzbekistan. Initiatives put forward at major political and economic forums received broad support from the international community.

Beneficial agreements have been signed with distant and neighboring countries in the fields of trade and economics, tourism, investment, and cultural and humanitarian spheres. Prestigious international conferences have been held in Uzbekistan. Art and culture festivals, as well as a historic victory at the Olympic Games, have received wide recognition.

Thus, we have emerged on the world stage as a constructive and generous nation. The head of state emphasized that all of this is the achievement of our people.

— I consider every hardworking and selfless compatriot as my closest friend and loyal ally, — noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev. — Today, our Motherland especially needs people who feel their connection to the fate of the country and the people, individuals capable of inspiring others, especially the youth, instilling faith in the future, and uniting society. The trust of the people, unity, and harmony play a decisive role in achieving our goals.

The meeting discussed the current global situation and the challenges of finding comprehensive solutions in a rapidly changing reality. Growing global competition and the fight for the future present new tasks for countries and peoples. Only a nation ready to face these challenges will be able to elevate its state to a deserving place.

What place will Uzbekistan occupy in today’s increasingly uncertain world? Are we easing the life of our country and people with our work and attitude towards ongoing changes? These questions should concern us all.

Independence has given us true self-awareness, restored honor, dignity, and pride. However, independence is primarily responsibility: responsibility for self-determination, for creating a prosperous and free Motherland.

Today’s achievements are not the limit for us. Our people deserve a better life and are capable of great deeds. It is expressed with confidence: if we all unite, work together, fulfill our duties honestly, and actively participate in reforms, we will achieve our set goals.

The President also congratulated compatriots receiving awards in the regions.

— What does an award mean? Above all, it is high recognition of a person’s merits. When a person’s work receives respect and acknowledgment from the state and society, it brings joy not only to them but also to their family, loved ones, colleagues, and the entire country. Our task is to properly appreciate those who work honestly and productively, — emphasized the head of state.

Following this, a ceremonial awarding of honorary titles, orders, and medals took place.

— A hardworking person always receives deserved recognition. Today, we honor honest work, selflessness, and patriotism. May these high titles and awards inspire you to new achievements. The more such people we have in our country, the more I want to reward them, — said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The awardees expressed gratitude for the attention and wished success to all citizens of our country.
