The message of the President said: “It is great pleasure to congratulate all of you with memorable date in life of our country – the 20th anniversary of creation of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.”

He said that for last twenty years, the Uzbek civil aviation passed huge and uneasy way of development and formation as modern air carrier and today it plays important role in further expanding of fruitful cooperation and strengthening relations of Uzbekistan with many foreign states.

Islam Karimov underlined that implementation of well thought-out strategy on development of local civil aviation, high professionalism of the team allowed the airline to take worthy place at international air transportation and technical maintenance system. He said that the international aviation organizations acknowledged high results of aviation security and quality of flights, wide use of advanced technologies in maintenance of aircrafts, and training high-skilled employees.

President said that currently Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, which is equipped with modern airplanes, carries out flights to over 25 countries of the world and manages 75,000 transit flights a year and air navigation services to aircrafts of 320 foreign air carriers, which also use services of the Center on technical maintenance and repair of aircrafts, which is the only such plant in Central Asian region.

Uzbek leader said all airports in Uzbekistan were modernized in line with international standards. He said that the airline transported over 2.3 million passengers and over 50,000 tonnes of cargo, which is evidence for its success.

Intermodal logistic center, which was created at the Navoi International Airport and equipped with modern air navigation equipment, receives all types of aircrafts in any weather conditions, he stated.

Uzbek President noted that hard work, knowledge and experience of multinational collective of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari are reliable base for further development of local civil aviation in Uzbekistan.

“Let me congratulate all of you with the 20th anniversary of the national airline and express frank respect, strong health and well-being to your families, success in your noble and self-denying work, clean sky and successful flights,” Uzbek leader said.
