Presentation of the mobile application of the Single Portal of Interactive Government Services and Face ID Prototype held

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 21 January 2020, a press conference was held in the building of the Republican Higher School of Business and Management with the participation of the leadership of the National Agency for Project Management under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as the Agency) and the Project Management Center for e-government and the digital economy (hereinafter referred to as the Center) under the Agency.

One of the significant results of the Center’s activities for the year, in addition to the launched services for the population, which greatly simplified the process of interaction between citizens and state bodies, was the launch of the my.gov.uz Single Interactive Public Services Portal mobile application (EPIGU). Considering that the number of mobile Internet users in the republic today exceeds 80%, the launch of the EPIGU mobile application is an important step towards expanding interactive public services.

The possibilities of the mobile application my.gov.uz were presented at the press conference. It was noted that only automated electronic services are presented in the application, that is, services provided without the intervention of an employee of a state body, such as: information about fines for violation of traffic rules, obtaining information about an individual accumulative pension account, determining a TIN, receiving information about salary fee, debt for utilities and others.

For example, a service for fines, which has no analogues. Only on the Single portal of interactive public services can you get free information on fines for traffic violations. To do this, you need to subscribe to receive the service, after which the data on fines in case of their occurrence will be received automatically.

During the operation of the mobile application, the number of electronic services provided will increase.

It is worth noting that last year the Center, together with the UZINFOCOM Single Integrator, launched 49 electronic government services on the My.gov.uz portal, including 5 automated services (pension information, salary information, fines, etc.).

To date, work is underway to introduce a composite service, which includes birth registration, the issuance of a one-time allowance at the birth of a child, and placing a child in a kindergarten, taking into account the exclusion of the need for excessive visits to state bodies and waiting in queues.

The following functionality is implemented in the mobile application:

- Search for services by keywords;

- Familiarization with the status of applications for services;

- Obtaining geolocation centers of public services.

In the current 2020, it is also planned to introduce convenient remote authentication based on biometric data (Face ID facial recognition), which allows receiving electronic services remotely in a simple and convenient form.
