Participants received information on priority directions of economy of Uzbekistan and created favourable conditions for foreign investors.

The report said that the Chinese side expressed interest in Navoi free industrial-economic zone and Angren special industrial zone, which provide great opportunities for businesses.

Deputy director of Anhui Commerce Bureau Yan Benxin [transliterated] highly rated stable development of Uzbekistan. Chinese official said that China pays great attention to development of relations with Uzbekistan.

He said that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Anhui made up US$170 million in 2011, but there is untapped potential in trade-economic and investment spheres.

Within the event, Chinese firms expressed interest to develop cooperation with the Uzbek firms in such areas as machinery, electronics, textile, light and chemistry industries, and others.
