Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Nodirjon Turgunov, met with the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), Jasem Al-Budaiwi, Dunyo news agency reported.

During the meeting, issues related to the preparation for the second strategic dialogue summit of heads of state in the format "Gulf Cooperation Council – Central Asia," which will be held in Samarkand in 2025, as well as the activation of cooperation between the GCC Secretariat and Uzbekistan, were discussed.

It was noted that due to the well-thought-out policies of the President of Uzbekistan, the country is actively developing, the standard of living of the population is improving, neighborly relations in the region are being strengthened, and trade volumes between the Central Asian countries are growing.

Special attention was paid to the importance of developing both bilateral and multilateral relations of Uzbekistan, including the initiatives of the Uzbek side within regional and international organizations. These efforts are attracting great interest from the international community.

Considering the success of the second strategic dialogue meeting of foreign ministers in the "GCC – Central Asia" format, which was held in April 2024, hope was expressed for the successful and fruitful conduct of the upcoming high-level summit.
