Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 24 July, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President of Kazakhstan warmly congratulated the head of Uzbekistan on his birthday, noting his significant personal contribution to the development of Uzbek-Kazakh relations of strategic partnership and alliance.

During the conversation, the dynamic development of practical interaction between the two countries was noted with satisfaction. The importance of preparing for the upcoming high-level bilateral events was emphasized.

Issues regarding the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the region and the “Central Asia + Japan” summit, scheduled for August this year in Astana, were also discussed.
