Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 25 June, Umid Shadiev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee, delivered a speech at the Uzbekistan-China Conference on Economic and Trade Cooperation organized by Zhejiang Province.

The Chinese delegation was headed by a member of the Permanent Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) of Zhejiang Province and the Secretary-General of the provincial CPC committee, Xu Qiweng.

Following the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Chinese airline Zhejiang Loong Airlines Co., Ltd. This memorandum aims to increase the tourist flow from China to Uzbekistan.

It is worth noting that the Chinese airline Loong Air launched regular flights between Samarkand and Xi’an on 16 June.
