Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 13 to 15 June, President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk-yeol will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

High-level negotiations will take place in Tashkent, where the heads of the two countries will discuss topical issues of the further development of Uzbek-Korean relations of friendship and strategic partnership.

The presidents of Uzbekistan and South Korea will exchange views on expanding practical cooperation, including trade, innovation, energy, electronics, chemical industry, agriculture, infrastructure development and other priority areas.

Joint programs in education, healthcare, culture, sports and tourism will also be discussed.

A number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents are expected to be signed.

The presidents will also take part in a joint business forum.

President Yoon Suk-yeol will also visit the city of Samarkand to get acquainted with the rich cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
