Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 May, at the meeting of the ministers of tourism of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which is taking place in Khiva, gratitude was expressed to Uzbekistan for preparing for the international event, the reforms carried out in the country for development received special recognition tourism.

At a meeting of a high-level expert group, officials announced that the chairmanship of the tourism organization had been transferred from Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan.

In turn, it was noted that under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, effective projects and initiatives will be implemented in the field of tourism cooperation between member states of the Organization, including green and sustainable tourism, smart tourism, tourism logistics and other areas.
