Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov and the khokim of Ferghana region of Uzbekistan Khairullo Bozarov discussed the possibility of building a logistics center in Bashkiria for goods from Uzbekistan. The issue of implementing this project was one of the key topics of their meeting.
The parties also discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation in the economic and social spheres.
Khairullo Bozarov emphasized the Uzbek side’s readiness to cooperate in the areas of livestock, crop production and vegetable cultivation, noting that Ferghana region is a leader in Uzbekistan in agriculture. He said that the region has 50 thousand hectares of orchards, 10 thousand hectares of vineyards, almost 350 thousand hectares of irrigated land and more than 30 thousand hectares of vegetable crops. Bozarov expressed his readiness to directly supply agricultural products and called for assistance from Bashkiria.
Radiy Khabirov supported the idea of creating a logistics center, noting that goods from Uzbekistan will be able to be supplied to other regions of the Volga region. He declared his readiness to support this investment project and provide land for the new facility, emphasizing that Bashkortostan opens access to the market of the entire Volga Federal District.
In addition, Khabirov noted that companies from Ferghana region are ready to invest in enterprises for raising livestock and producing meat products in Bashkiria, which will further strengthen economic ties between the regions.
