Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) entered into a memorandum on the implementation of the program for the period from 2025 to 2027 for a total amount of US$3.5 billion.

Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Khurram Teshabayev and ADB Director General for Central and Western Asia Evgeny Jukov signed this memorandum.

The document was signed during the 57th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank, which was held in Tbilisi from 4 to 5 May.

As part of the event, held under the general motto “Bridge to the Future,” a delegation of Uzbekistan led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev took part.

The program includes projects that are of mutual interest to both parties and are consistent with the Development Strategy "Uzbekistan - 2030".

Uzbekistan joined ADB in 1995, and an ADB office in Uzbekistan was opened in 1998. The total volume of funds provided by ADB for the sovereign portfolio of Uzbekistan reached US$12 billion. Last year, ADB allocated 6 loans and 1 grant for 4 sovereign projects and 2 programs.
