A presentation of the investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan takes place in Hiroshima

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized an event on the topic “Investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan” in the Japanese city of Hiroshima, Dunyo news agency reported.

This event was organized jointly with the Hiroshima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Japan-Uzbekistan Society for Economic, Cultural and Sports Cooperation, as well as the Balcom Group.

At the beginning of the event, the chairman of the Japanese-Uzbek society, as well as the president of the Japanese company Balcom Group, Tetsuro Yamasaka, spoke about the activities carried out by the society to develop trade, economic and cultural cooperation.

In particular, it was reported that representatives of business circles working in Hiroshima Prefecture will visit Uzbekistan in 2024, organize joint business forums in the regions, and prepare new tourism brochures in Japanese.

The chairman also provided detailed information about projects implemented by the Balcom Group with direct investments in Uzbekistan. He emphasized that thanks to the favorable investment environment created in our country, great opportunities for cooperation are opening up, and large-scale reforms are being implemented to support foreign investment.

During the event, diplomats spoke about the great potential of our country in the field of investment and trade. Trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Japan were also covered, and detailed information was presented on trends in the development of relations in the economic sphere.

The Japanese side also learned about the historical monuments of our country included in the UNESCO list, hotels built to international standards, and internal transport infrastructure.

Also, in collaboration with representatives of Japanese travel companies, the development of “tourism content” in Uzbekistan, such as ecotourism, pilgrimage, gastronomic and craft tourism, was discussed.
