Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov took part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS CMFA) in Minsk, Dunyo news agency reports.
Issues on the global and regional agenda, as well as cooperation within the CIS, were discussed at the meeting.
During the meeting, several documents were signed aimed at strengthening multilateral ties in various directions, including in political, humanitarian and other spheres.
The heads of foreign policy departments of the CIS member states unanimously decided to declare the cities of Ganja (Azerbaijan) and Almaty (Kazakhstan) sports capitals for 2025 and 2026, respectively.
Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov is in Minsk on 11-12 April on his first official visit to Belarus.
