Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the end of the first day of his trip to Khorezm region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a working meeting, during which issues of implementing a large gas chemical project in the region were discussed.

This meeting was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Energy, Uzkimyosanoat JSC and a foreign investment company. It is planned to invest more than US$10 billion in this project.

It is expected that the new production facilities will be able to produce 2.5 million tons of products annually and create more than 3 thousand jobs. The implementation of this project is planned for the period from 2024 to 2028.

The implementation of this project will give a new impetus to the development of the gas chemical industry and will become one of the important industrial facilities within the framework of the New Uzbekistan strategy.
