Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A family of six was poisoned by carbon monoxide in Baysun district of Surkhandarya region. Five family members have died, said Hayot Shamsutdinov, press secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.

The incident occurred on 25 February, at approximately 10:30, in a house in the Duoba mahalla.

The bodies of a 43-year-old man, an 11-year-old boy and two girls - 8 and 6 years old - were found at the scene.

His 38-year-old wife and 16-year-old daughter were hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the regional medical facility. However, the girl, despite the assistance provided, died on 27 February.

District prosecutor’s office carries out pre-investigation actions.
