Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev appointed a new director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation (formerly the Uzstandard agency).

By resolution of the President of Uzbekistan, Akmal Jumanazarov was appointed director of the Uzbek Agency for Technical Regulation.

Akmal Jumanazarov has served as Deputy Minister of Energy since February 2023 and was responsible for issues in the field of electricity and the coal industry.

The former head of the agency, Dilshod Sattarov, was dismissed by the President of Uzbekistan in January 2024. The President noted that at the moment no agreement has been reached on the recognition of Uzbekistan’s certificates with any country.
