Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 February, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was presented with a report on the progress of implementation of instructions issued at an expanded meeting of the Security Council under the President.

The Minister of Defense made a report on the implementation of the assigned tasks and current activities to increase the combat readiness and combat effectiveness of the troops, equip them with modern weapons and equipment, improve the work of the sergeant corps of the Armed Forces and the patriotic education of youth.

The work done to improve regulations related to increasing the combat readiness of troops and training of military personnel, as well as strengthening military discipline in units and subunits, was emphasized.

Particular attention was paid to the digitalization of troop activities, including the introduction of modern automated control systems and the improvement of the communication system.

The President noted the importance of continuing work to improve the structure of the Armed Forces, equipping the national army with modern weapons and military equipment, as well as developing the defense-industrial complex.

As a result of the report, the President gave several instructions to further improve the activities of the Armed Forces and increase the country’s defense capability.
