Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Global OSB plans to localize the production of golf carts in Uzbekistan, the Uzeltehsanoat press service said.

“Uzbekistan has also launched production of a new type of electrical products – electric golf carts. This important product for the automotive industry has not previously been produced in the country,” the Association said in the statement.

Representatives of the Uzeltehsanoat Association visited the Global OSB enterprise where this project is being implemented. They assessed the readiness of the enterprise to launch production and discussed prospects. An exchange of views was held on issues of establishing cooperation.

In particular, the possibility of purchasing components from local enterprises for the production of electric golf carts was discussed. It is planned to begin a full-fledged process in March-April of this year.

The US$1 million project will localize production of various parts for electric golf carts, including windshields, bumpers, body parts, chassis covers and seats.
