Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Aurelia Bouchez.

Ambassador Aurelia Bouchez noted that France and Uzbekistan are long-time friends and are implementing a number of projects in agriculture, as well as in other areas.

Ibrahim Abdurakhmanov highly appreciated bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and emphasized that France is one of the most advanced partners of Uzbekistan in the agricultural sector, especially with great potential in viticulture and winemaking. In this regard, he noted that the implementation of innovative projects in this area is one of the priority issues.

French Ambassador Aurelia Bouchez invited Uzbekistan to take part in the LX International Agricultural Exhibition (SIA), which will be held in Paris this year.

It was noted that organizing a round table on the topic “Climate change and veterinary and sanitary problems in livestock farming” within the framework of this exhibition is beneficial not only to Uzbekistan, but also to France.

This exhibition provides an opportunity for meetings with representatives of European Union countries in the field of agriculture, establishing the export of agricultural products grown and processed in Uzbekistan to the European market.
