Uzbekistan opens a Consulate General in Osh
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan opened a consulate general in Osh (Kyrgyzstan).
The opening ceremony was attended by Vice-Mayor of Osh Nurbek Kadyrov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Osh region Elchibek Jantaev and Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Khurshid Mirzakhidov.
It is noted that the consulate was opened to develop economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, as well as to provide assistance to Uzbek citizens in the region.
Zafarbek Akhmedov headed the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Osh. He arrived in Osh in November.
