Enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 519.1 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today there are 70.9 thousand industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan, of which 11.8 thousand (16.6% of the total number of operating enterprises) are in the city of Tashkent, 8.0 thousand (11.3%) in Fergana, 7.3 thousand (10.3%) – Tashkent region, 6.3 thousand (8.9%) – Samarkand region and 5.6 thousand (7.9%) – Andijan region.

According to preliminary data, in January-October 2023, enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 519.1 trillion soums, the index of physical volume of industrial production compared to the same period in 2022 was 105.8%

An analysis of the differentiation of industrial output per capita for January-October 2023 showed a significant excess of the republican average (14.29 million soums) in Navoi region (77.05 million soums), the city of Tashkent (32.81 million soums) and Tashkent region (27.6 million soums).

In the structure of production, the largest share falls on manufacturing enterprises (84.3%), the production volume of which amounted to 437.6 trillion soums.

In January-October 2023, the largest share in the total industrial production in the republic was the city of Tashkent (18.9%), Tashkent (16.0%), Navoi (15.8%), Andijan (10.7%) and Fergana (5.5%) regions. Compared to the same period in 2022, average industrial production in the republic increased thanks to enterprises in Jizzakh (7.8%), Namangan (7.4%) and Kashkadarya (7.1%) regions.

The mining industry is a set of industries engaged in the exploration and extraction of minerals, as well as their primary processing and production of semi–finished products. The volume of products produced by mining and quarrying enterprises in January-October 2023 amounted to 45.5 trillion soums, or 8.8% of the total industry volume.

Manufacturing enterprises produced products worth 437.6 trillion soums in January-October 2023, or 84.3% of the total industrial volume.

In the structure of the manufacturing industry, the share of high-tech industries was 1.4% (2.1% for January-October 2022), medium-high technology – 24.6% (23.0%), medium-low technology – 37.6% (37.1%) and low-tech – 36.4% (37.8%).

In the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises for the production, repair, installation of machinery and equipment, production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and other finished metal products amounted to 21.9% (the index of physical volume by January–October 2022 was 108.8%), the metallurgical industry – 23.2% (the index of physical volume by January-October 2022 amounted to 105.1%), enterprises producing textiles, clothing, leather products – 17.2% (the index of physical volume by January-October 2022 amounted to 106.9%).

In the volume of the manufacturing industry, the share of enterprises producing food, beverages and tobacco products was 16.0% (physical volume index by January-October 2022 was 106.2%), enterprises producing chemical products, rubber and plastic products – 8.4% (physical volume index by January-October 2022 was 99.4%).

In January-October 2023, the republic produced 1.106 million tons of motor gasoline (compared to the corresponding period in 2022, an increase of 9.7%), 456,300 tons of cotton yarn (a decrease of 7.0%), 246.2 million liters of beer (an increase of 21.0%) and 916,400 tons of flour from soft wheat and spelled (a decrease of 38.9%).

In January-October 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 2,518 trucks (by the corresponding period in 2022, production volume decreased by 22.6%).

During January-October 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 695 buses (by the corresponding period in 2022, production volume decreased by 28.4%).

In the automotive industry of the country in January-October 2023, 89 410 cars of the brand “Cobalt” were produced (the growth rate increased by 10.0% compared to the same period in 2022), 8 580 – “Chery” (an increase of 24.4 times), 65 676 – “Gentra” (a decrease of 9.2%), 546 – “Spark” (a decrease of 95.6%), 69 323 – “Damas” (an increase of 17.2%), 18 836 specialized passenger cars (an increase of 14.8%), 33 970 – “Tracker” (an increase of 16.0 times) and 25 432 – “Onix”.

In January-October 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 687.8 thousand pneumatic rubber tires for passenger cars (by January-October 2022, production volume decreased by 11.5%).

During January-October 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 206.1 thousand units of automobile engines (an increase of 8.7% compared to the corresponding period in 2022).

During January-October 2023, large enterprises in the engineering industry produced 922.2 thousand units of lead batteries for starting piston engines (an increase in production of 37.2% was recorded by the corresponding period in 2022).

In January-October 2023, large enterprises of the republic produced 667.6 thousand units of refrigerators and freezers (an increase in production of 5.5% was recorded by the corresponding period in 2022).

Carrying out capital restoration work on process equipment made it possible to increase the capacity utilization of chemical enterprises and exceed the previous year’s production figures for the production of disodium carbonate (103.3% compared to January-October 2022) and potassium chloride (102.0%).

In January-October 2023, the share of the metallurgical industry in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 23.2%, the physical volume index increased by 5.1%, and the production volume amounted to 101 449.1 billion soums.

Based on the results of January-October 2023, the share of other non-metallic mineral products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 5.1%, the index of physical production volume increased by 12.4%, and the production volume amounted to 22.11 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of food products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 12.0%, the physical volume index was 106.2%, and the total production volume was 52.33 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of beverage production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.5%, the physical volume index was 107.8%, and the production volume reached 15.1 trillion soums.

Based on the results of January-October 2023, the share of textile production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 12.7%, the physical volume index increased by 6.0%, and the production volume became equal to 55.41 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of clothing production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 4.1%, and the physical volume index was 109.8%, the production volume reached 17.78 trillion soums

In January-October 2023, the share of chemical products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 6.5%, the index of physical production volume decreased by 2.8%, and the production volume amounted to 28.27 trillion soums.

At the end of January-October 2023, the share of production of coke and petroleum products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 4.4%, the physical volume index increased by 35.4%, and the production volume amounted to 19.15 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of production of rubber and plastic products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 2.0%, the physical volume index was 110.3%, production volume was 8.6 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of electrical equipment production in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 3.3%, the index of physical production volume was 128.5%, and the production volume was 14.25 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of production of finished metal products in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 2.5%, the physical volume index was 104.4%, and the production volume was 10.99 trillion soums.

For January-October 2023, the share of production of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers in the structure of the manufacturing industry was 13.5%, the physical volume index was 112.7%, the production volume reached 59.1 trillion soums.

The volume of products produced by electricity supply, gas, steam and air conditioning enterprises during the period under review amounted to 33.5 trillion soums (6.4% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the same period in 2022, in January-October 2023, electricity production amounted to 105.1%, heat energy – 93.2%.

The volume of products produced by water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal enterprises in January-October 2023 amounted to 2.4 trillion soums (0.5% of the total industry volume).

Compared to the corresponding period of 2022, in January-October 2023, there was an increase in the production of textile waste by 24.2%, wastewater disposal, transportation and treatment services - by 1.9%, and services for emptying, cleaning and treatment of cesspools, septic tanks and septic tanks decreased by 31.1%.

As a result of the measures taken to expand the assortment and stimulate the production of finished products, the production of consumer goods in January-October 2023 amounted to 150.4 trillion soums and, compared with the corresponding period of 2022, the growth rate reached 107.9%, the share in the total volume of industry amounted to 29.0%. In January-October 2023, 57.5 trillion soums worth of food products were produced in the republic. Compared to the same period in 2022, the republican average production of consumer goods was exceeded by enterprises in Jizzakh region (189.3%), Syrdarya region (110.9%).

In the structure of production of consumer goods, the share of food products was 38.3%, non-food products – 61.7%. In January-October 2022, the share of food products in the total volume of consumer goods was 35.5%, non-food products – 64.5%.

In the structure of production of consumer goods of the republic in January-October 2023, the largest share falls on Andijan region (25.8% of the total volume of consumer goods), the city of Tashkent (20.9%), Tashkent (12.5%) and Khorezm (7.2%) region.

Production of consumer goods per capita in January-October 2023 in the republic amounted to 4 142.0 thousand soums, including in Andijan region – 11 589.6 thousand soums, Tashkent city – 10 516.3 thousand soums, Jizzakh region – 6 434.1 thousand soums, Tashkent region – 6 252.3 thousand soums.

In the structure of production of non-food products of the republic in January-October 2023, the largest share falls on Andijan region (39.7% of the total volume of non-food products), the city of Tashkent (14.0%), and also Jizzakh region (9.4%) and Tashkent (9.0%) region.

In the structure of food production of the republic in January-October 2023, the largest share falls on the city of Tashkent (32.0% of the total volume of food products), Tashkent (18.2%) and Khorezm (8.2%) regions.

In January-October 2023, small businesses produced products worth 135.3 trillion soums, the share of which in total production amounted to 26.1%. For the period from January to October 2022, the share of small businesses in total production amounted to 24.4%.
