Uzbekistan and Russian to cooperate on issues of development of the transport sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During Transport Week 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Russian Federal Service for Supervision in Transport and the Inspectorate for Supervision in Transport under the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

This document is aimed at developing cooperation in the field of road transport, road infrastructure and railway transport.

The memorandum was signed by Jamshid Karimov, head of the Inspectorate for Supervision in Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Viktor Basargin, head of Rostransnadzor.

According to the document, the parties express their intention to develop cooperation in several key areas:

Exchange of experience in law enforcement practice of both countries.

Exchange of information about violations of traffic safety and operation of railway transport.

Joint efforts in digitalization and implementation of modern technologies in the field of transport.

This memorandum is intended to strengthen interaction between supervisory authorities in the two countries and contribute to the development of the transport sector in both republics.
