Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tel Aviv denied reports that citizens of the country allegedly captured during Israeli-Palestinian clashes.
The message from the diplomatic mission notes that some media outlets in Uzbekistan are circulating unconfirmed information about citizens of Uzbekistan captured during Israeli-Palestinian clashes.
The embassy reported that it had not received information about the presence of Uzbek citizens among those forcibly detained in the escalation zones in Israel and the Gaza Strip.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, about 10 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan are currently living in Israel and are engaged in temporary work activities.
