The tourism potential of Uzbekistan is presented in Beijing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presentation of the tourism potential, opportunities in the field of gastronomic and environmental tourism of Uzbekistan was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, Dunyo news agency reports.

The event was attended by representatives of about 100 Chinese tourism associations and companies, as well as the media.

Taking into account the rich tourism potential of Uzbekistan, as well as historical and cultural monuments, the possibilities of gastronomic tourism, the participants got acquainted with the work done to provide tourism services in our country.

It was noted that in October 2023, the 25th anniversary meeting of the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) will be held in Samarkand.

Representatives of travel companies speaking at the event emphasized that relations between the peoples of China and Uzbekistan have a long history, the similarity of our cultures, and noted the special importance of tourism in strengthening these ties today.

General Director of the international travel services agency "Shengtu" Li Dongmei:

- I have been working in the tourism industry for more than 20 years. Currently, our cooperation with Uzbekistan is developing.

Today, during the event, we learned about the conditions created for foreign tourists, the rich cultural monuments of your beautiful and ancient cities.

I hope that cooperation and friendly relations between our countries will strengthen. We are ready to use all our resources to further increase the flow of tourists from China to Uzbekistan.

- I am glad that today our travel company, together with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China, organized a high-level event to promote tourism.
