Bank Samarkand places shares for 5.3bn soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Open joint-stock commercial bank Samarkand fully placed emission of shares, registered under the No. PO302-5 from 12 December 2008.

Bank Samarkand issued 106,000 ordinary shares with par value of 50,000 soums. Total volume of the emission is 5.3 billion soums.

The bank said at its official site that Bank Samarkand was created in December 2000. The paid charter capital of the bank is 13.62 billion soums.

As of 1 June 2009, total assets of the bank reached 18.19 billion soums and own capital - 14.34 billion soums. Net income comprised 55.85 million soums.
