Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Air Samarkand will start operating regular commercial flights to a number of foreign destinations from Samarkand International Airport in early 2023.
The new airline Air Samarkand was created in Uzbekistan and will be based at Samarkand International Airport.
According to the company, Air Samarkand will operate flights to Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Israel, Russia, India and other countries. At the first stage, the airline will operate flights to 14 destinations.
The airline will operate flights on two modern medium-haul Airbus A320 aircraft.
Two aircraft will be presented in a full-economy configuration: the aircraft cabin is equipped with 180 economy class seats. This will allow from the very beginning to provide affordable, but comfortable transportation for the largest group of passengers.
During the year, the company plans to replenish the fleet with several more Airbus A320s equipped with economy and business class, as well as wide-body long-haul A330s. The increase in the fleet will make it possible to systematically expand the route network, providing a high level of service.
Through planned partnerships with a number of airlines, Air Samarkand will multiply travel opportunities for its passengers by providing convenient transit through major airports, the airline said.
