Sberbank to expand Blitz money transfers to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan in 2010

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Sberbank Russia plans to expand its Blitz money transfer service to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in 2010, official of the Russian bank said.
The head of payment resources and settlements with banks Igor Lipanov said the bank plans to start cooperation with international money transfer systems in order to get to countries outside the CIS and to other CIS countries, where the system is not currently represented.
Currently, the Blitz transfers are available in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, countries where Sberbank has subsidiaries.
Sberbank official said the bank is most interested in beginning talks with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, which are leaders in the volume of money transfers from Russia.
