Gofurjon Mirzayev becomes Presidential Adviser on Public Service, Dialogue with the Population and Coordination of Activities of Local Authorities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By the relevant decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Gofurjon Mirzaev was appointed to the position of Presidential Adviser on public service, dialogue with the population and coordination of the activities of local authorities.
He was relieved of the post of khokim of Syrdarya region. This was reported by the press service of the President.
In 1990, he graduated from the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute. In 2000 he graduated from the Tashkent State Economic University.
He began his career as an equipment adjuster at a grain processing plant in Baghdad district of Ferghana region, then he became an automation engineer there, and later a deputy head. In 1994 he was appointed as deputy khokim of Baghdad district for construction, industry, transport and communications. In 1997, he moved to work as the head of the Main Department of Construction, New Technologies and Modernization of the State Joint-Stock Company "Uzdonmakhsulot". In 1998 he became the chairman of the Ferghana Joint Stock Company of Grain Producers. In 2000, he again became the head of the Main Department for Construction, New Technologies and Modernization of the State Joint-Stock Company "Uzdonmakhsulot".
In 2003, he moved to work as an inspector at the Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he worked until his appointment as khokim of the Syrdarya region.
On 15 December 2016, Gofurjon Mirzaev was appointed khokim of Syrdarya region. In 2020, he was elected to the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
