Uzbekistan approves rules for investigating aviation accidents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of the Rules for investigating aviation events with civil aircraft in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.
According to the document, the Ministry of Transport is an authorized body for organizing and conducting an investigation of aviation accidents and incidents (it is granted independence in conducting an investigation).
Aviation incidents that occurred with aircraft (drones) weighing more than 2250 kg are subject to investigation. Safety recommendations of global importance are sent to ICAO.
The Resolution approved the Rules for Investigating Aviation Events with Civil Aircraft in the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to them:
aviation events are classified into accidents (with human casualties - accidents, without human casualties - accidents), aviation incidents, serious aviation incidents;
persons who become aware of an aviation accident must immediately notify the local authorities or the civil aviation organization;
dispatch services, upon receipt of information about the accident, immediately send a message to the Ministry of Transport, the transport department of the State Security Service, the Transport Prosecutor's Office and the body of the air defense troops;
The Ministry of Transport transmits information to the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Aviation Safety Service of the Armed Forces, the Transport Prosecutor's Office and the Central Committee of Trade Unions of Aviation Workers (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic mission - in case of an accident with an aircraft of a foreign state);
the investigation is organized by the Ministry of Transport with the participation of executive authorities, prosecutors, developers, manufacturers, owners, operators of the aircraft, representatives of the state of registration of the aircraft and other interested ministries and departments of Uzbekistan;
Investigation materials within five days from the date of approval of the report are sent to the law enforcement agency conducting the investigation, the Ministry of Transport, the operator (owner) of the vessel, Uzhydromet (if the incident is related to weather conditions), the Ministry of Defense.
