Uzbek FM received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 November 2022, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to our country Kim Hee Sang.

The Ambassador said that the Republic of Korea considers Uzbekistan as a key partner in the region and is ready to take all measures to further intensify interstate ties. Official Seoul welcomes and supports the course of large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan and intends to provide all possible assistance in their implementation.

As noted, the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea in December 2021 made it possible to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.

The readiness of the parties for the comprehensive implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in all areas was emphasized.

An exchange of views took place on the schedule of planned events, including the next round of inter-MFA consultations in Tashkent.

Proposals for building up ties within the framework of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum were considered.
