Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- For optimal planning of social policy, the khokimiyat of Tashkent conducted a survey of the population on the topic of welfare. It was attended by 1,606 men and women, representatives of different age groups from 12 districts of the city. Most of the respondents (56.2%) have higher education, are employed (58.5%) in government agencies (21.3%), the service sector (16%) and in production (14.8%).
An online survey on a specially designed questionnaire was conducted by the information and analytical center Rakamli Poytaht (Digital Capital).
Here are some summary results of the survey:
• The financial situation of the family of a larger number of respondents (43.2%) is assessed as average. 38.9% of survey participants consider their financial position to be low. 14.6% rate it as very low. Interestingly, 55.3% of respondents, whose income is 10 million soums per family member, consider themselves to be in the “middle” layer. While 39.5% of survey participants in this category consider their income to be high.
• In terms of districts, the majority of respondents from Yakkasaray, Shaykhantakhur, Mirzo-Ulugbek and Almazar districts assess their financial situation as average. In Yakkasaray district, a large proportion of respondents assess their financial situation as high, and residents of Yangihayot, Chilanzar, Sergeli and Bektemir districts, the majority noted a low level of their material condition.
• There is stability in the incomes of respondents: almost half believe that their financial situation has remained the same compared to last year. Deterioration was noted only by 10.5% of respondents. At the same time, 33.7% of respondents believe that their financial situation will become better in a year, and 40.7% of respondents believe that their financial situation will remain the same as now.

Interestingly, the level of income of the respondents is not a determining factor in identifying themselves as the "middle" layer. Respondents with an income level of 1-3 million soums and more than 10 million soums can equally classify themselves as the “middle” class.
• When considering the monthly income per family member, it was revealed:
for 29.5% of respondents it ranges from 500,000 to 1,000,000 soums, for 18.3% of survey participants - from 1,000,000 to 1,500,000 soums per family member.
Respondents note the level of monthly income per person in the family as follows:
15.2% - 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 soums

1.9% - from 8,000,000 to 10,000,000 soums.
• Remarkably: the income of more than 10 million soums per person in the family is more typical for men than for women - 18.4% and 81.6%, respectively, which demonstrates a serious gap. At the same time, income from 500 thousand soums to 1 million soums is more typical for women. The situation is leveling off closer to the interval from 2 to 3 million soums.
• In terms of employment, the highest level of income of more than 10 million soums was found among specialists employed in the field of information technology, trade, transport / logistics, services and government organizations.

• The level of satisfaction with housing conditions can be designated as average, since 40.7% of the survey participants are “rather satisfied”, 31.4% - “rather dissatisfied”. At the same time, two diametrically opposite characteristics are typical for the positions “completely satisfied” and “completely dissatisfied” (12.1% and 15.8%). It is noteworthy that the average satisfaction with housing conditions in the group of respondents with income from 500 thousand soums to 1 million soums is in the same range as in the group of respondents with incomes above 10 million soums.
