Tariffs for heat supply approved: there will be no increase for the population and entrepreneurs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Tashkent City Kengash of People’s Deputies approved tariffs for heat supply services for the 2022-2023 heating season. Tariffs for individuals and small, medium and large businesses remain at the same level.
Based on the decision of the Tashkent City Kengash of People’s Deputies No. VI-70-255-14-0-K / 22 from 26 September 2022, the Khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent issued Resolution No. 983-14-0-Q / 22 on 27 September 2022 “On approval of regulated prices (tariffs) for heat supply services provided by FE LLC Veolia Energy Tashkent.
Regulated prices (basic tariff) for heat supply services provided by FE LLC Veolia Energy Tashkent are set at 397,212 UZS/Gcal. In accordance with the aforementioned Decree, retail tariffs for heat supply services remain at the same level for:
- population - 91,960 soums / Gcal (effective from 15 August 2019);
- small, medium and large businesses - 141,737 soums / Gcal (valid from 15 August 2019).
The retail tariff for budgetary organizations is 502,067 UZS/Gcal. This tariff comes into force 15 days after publication, that is, from 21 October 2022.
The difference between the base and retail tariffs will be subsidized from the local budget of the city of Tashkent. Due to these subsidies and funds received from consumers for heat supply and hot water supply services, as well as own capital investments of Veolia Energy Tashkent:
- carries out planned modernization and reconstruction of heat supply systems;
- implements a pilot project in Sergeli and Bektemir districts;
- carries out a phased transition to a closed heat supply system, which in the future will significantly reduce energy resources for heat generation.
