The NOC of Uzbekistan hosts a meeting with the Secretary General of the Asian Swimming Confederation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, the Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee Oybek Kasimov received the Secretary General of the Asian Swimming Confederation Taha Al Kishri and manager of Myrtha Pools Antonio Arpay.
During a meaningful conversation, issues of preparation for the Asian Youth Games "Tashkent-2025" and the Asian Open Water Swimming Championship, which will be held in Samarkand on 22-24 September this year, were discussed.
Receiving Mr. Al Kishri, the Secretary General of the NOC noted that he was glad to see him again in our country. Oybek Kasimov noted that the preparations for the 4th Asian Youth Games in 2025 are personally controlled by the head of state, and also stressed that it is necessary to fully prepare for the upcoming prestigious starts so that the sports facilities under construction meet all the requirements of world standards.
A separate conversation was also held with a representative of Myrtha Pools, which presented its project for the Tashkent-2025 competitions. Oybek Kasimov thanked the Italian specialist for suggesting options and noted that the projects will be studied with responsible officials.
In turn, Taha Al Kishri emphasized the dynamic development of sports in Uzbekistan. In particular, he warmly responded to the preparations for the continental championship, which starts in 2 days in Samarkand, and expressed his readiness to discuss new stages of further cooperation.
