Where will the funds of the Alimony Payments Fund go?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On organizing the activities of the alimony payment fund” was adopted.

Presidential Decree from 7 March 2022 “On Measures to Further Accelerate Work on Systematic Support for the Family and Women” established the State Trust Fund “Alimony Payments” under the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement without the status of a legal entity.

50 billion soums were transferred to this Fund at the expense of the Development Fund of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement.

The document approved the Regulations on the Alimony Payments Fund, which envisages the formation, distribution and use of the fund’s resources, as well as the procedure for organizing its activities, including the definition of categories of cases and persons responsible for paying alimony from the Fund’s resources.

The sources of the formation of the Fund are determined:

funds collected from persons obliged to pay alimony;

income from the placement of temporarily free cash on deposits of commercial banks;

charitable donations from individuals and legal entities, grants from international institutions and foreign organizations;

other sources not prohibited by law.

The Enforcement Bureau manages the fund. To establish strict control over the disbursement procedures of the Fund, all operations are carried out through a single information system. At the same time, payments are transferred to the bank cards of alimony recipients integrated into this system.
