Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21-24 June 2022, Baron Alex Carlyle, a British lawyer and member of the House of Lords of the British Parliament, paid an official visit to Uzbekistan. Lord Carlyle held several meetings with Uzbek ministers and other high-ranking officials to discuss a strategy for developing joint work between Uzbekistan and the UK on various social and business projects, including in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence.
In addition, on 22 June, Lord Carlyle visited the avlo HUB training center, created with the support of the Youth Agency of Uzbekistan and Eurosoft, specializing in the training and further employment of specialists in such areas as:
•Artificial intelligence and data analysis
•Development of digital games
•NodeJS
•Marketing in the field of IT
Why is avlo HUB interesting for Lord Carlisle?
1. This training center attracted great interest from the British company Bikal, which specializes in artificial intelligence technologies.
For successful avlo HUB graduates, Bikal can also become a place of work not only in the UK, but also in other countries of the company's representative offices (UAE, Oman). Also, young specialists from Uzbekistan will be able to take part in projects to address global issues with the help of “tektransfer” technologies based on research by British universities.
2. The mission of avlo HUB is to improve the skills of Uzbek developers and their further employment, which is a very important factor for the implementation of joint projects between Uzbekistan and the UK
3. In avlo HUB, much attention is paid not only to improving professional skills, but also to the English language and general skills necessary for successful employment, including in companies outside of Uzbekistan.
“I am the founder and director of the Baikal company. Our company is engaged in the creation of products based on the research of British universities in the field of artificial intelligence. Our interest in cooperation with Uzbekistan lies in the development of products based on research, as well as in the search for talented youth,” said Raj Sandhu.
The meeting on 22 June was held in an informal setting. Trainers and students of avlo HUB, as well as the creative network of young people of Uzbekistan, were able to exchange experiences and ideas with Lord Carlisle and leading Bikal specialists.
After the event, Lord Carlyle shared his opinion “The youth of Uzbekistan has great potential. I was very pleasantly surprised. The level of English proficiency, the way they freely communicated with us, the projects in which they implement their vision on a global scale amazed us. We will definitely be happy to collaborate with these talented guys and introduce them to our network.”
