Films about Uzbekistan are shown on the Russia-Culture TV channel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Russia-Culture TV channel is currently hosting a series of films dedicated to Uzbekistan, the great past of Uzbekistan, large-scale cultural projects of today, the continuity of traditions and generations. 

All films were shot by the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan and the Russia-Culture TV channel.

So, today the film “Uzbekistan. The warmth and generosity of the dastarkhan” was demonstrated. The film talks about the diverse, amazing and authentic Uzbek cuisine. Fragrant pilaf, homemade khalisa, sacred bread and Khan’s tukhum-barak, fabulous halva and festive sumalak - all this is not just food, but a way of life, and each dish has its own interesting story. And each of them formed the basis of the film.

Recipes and little-known facts of one of the most popular cuisines in Eurasia - Uzbek, are told by famous chefs, confectioners, historians and art historians.

Before that, three more films about Uzbekistan were shown. These are “Place under the Sun”, which explores the phenomenon of Uzbek hospitality and religious tolerance, the film “Interlacing of Solar Cultures”, dedicated to the grandiose work to create a single collection of information about the treasures of Uzbek culture stored in museums around the world. The third film that the audience saw recently was the film "Craft that became art." He talks about the amazing fate of the first Uzbek cameraman - Khudoibergen Devanov and tells about what united the traditional types of decorative and applied arts of Uzbekistan with the new types of art that arose at the beginning of the 20th century - photography and cinema.

As the Director General of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan noted, a whole series of films about Uzbekistan has already been released on the Russia-Culture TV channel, and a number of films are planned to be created.

“The TV channel has already shown the films “Uzbekistan. Legends of love”, Uzbekistan. The Pearl of the Sands”, “Karakalpakstan. Through the Sands of Time”, “Uzbekistan. Gained Revelations”, a film about the museum of I. V. Savitsky “Nukus. Unknown collection”. All these films tell about the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, the history of our country, and are aimed at developing tourism,” said Firdavs Abdukhalikov.
