The next plenary session of the Senate will be held on May 28, 2022
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 May, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held. It was conducted by the Chairman of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva. This was reported by the press service of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis.
At the meeting, a resolution was adopted to convene the twenty-sixth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 28 May 2022.
A number of issues will be considered at the plenary session, which will be held in the form of videoconferencing.
Among them are the laws “On the State Civil Service”, “On Procedures for the Withdrawal of Land Plots for Public Needs with Compensation”, “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the system for ensuring equality and transparency in land relations, reliable protection of land rights and their transformation into a market asset”, “On amendments and amendments to Article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan On Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
The senators will also consider the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the work carried out in the Republic of Karakalpakstan on the use of solar and wind energy in the economy, social facilities and residential premises.
In addition, the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers on the development of national content for youth and minors on the Internet, the culture of their use of social networks and protection from harmful information will be discussed.
It is also envisaged to consider the results of a parliamentary inquiry sent to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the state of protection of women's labor rights at the enterprises of the light and leather industries.
At the plenary session, it is also planned to hear the report of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on the development of the Aral Sea region and ecology on activities in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022.
