The presentation has been organized by National Council of Tourism Chambers of Poland at the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland, the report said. Representatives of Poland’s tour firms and organizations, mass media and public of Warsaw participated at the event.

Participants got acquainted with current state of tourism industry in Uzbekistan, infrastructure, measures on creation of favourable conditions for development of tourism and expansion of cooperation with foreign countries.

Alexander Gertler, chairman of the National Council of Tourism Chambers, said the unique architecture monuments of Uzbekistan and regularly developing infrastructure tourism is increasing number of Polish tourists, willing to visit Uzbekistan. Government of Uzbekistan pays special attention to support and development of tourism industry, creates good ground for the growth of number of foreign tourists, visiting Uzbekistan, he said.

Editor-in-chief of Ambassador magazine Stansilav Vlyaschik said one of the main riches of Uzbekistan is large number or architectural and historical monuments. He said this is important factor for development of tourism in Uzbekistan as foreign tourists, in particular European ones, are interested in historic sights.
